OBEDIENCE CLASSES
Reliable obedience is a gift and a responsibility every dog owner should give their dogs. Obedience teaches a dog much more than sit, down, stay, heel and come. Obedience teaches your dog limits, self control, and allows your dog to understand your house rules. When a family dog does not have reliable obedience they are at high risk to become confused, timid and even aggressive towards humans and other animals. Most dogs and rescues, animal shelters and dog pounds aren’t bad dogs. Quite the contrary, they are great dogs whose owners never took the time to understand, communicate and educate their family companion. We offer a wide variety of obedience programs to help educate you and your puppy or dog to start them off the right way or get them under control.

Evaluation:

Puppy development:
Start your new family member off the right way. Learn how to avoid costly future behavior problems. Work on environmental and human socialization from a dog’s eye point of view. Starter obedience:
This informative class will teach you and your dog the positions of sit, down, stay, heel, come and dismissed. You will also learn Proper timing of praise/correction, Level of praise/correction, Leash handling skills, Proper foot work, proper command labeling, teaching vs. training and the basics of understanding canine behavior. Entertaining for both dog and handler alike, this class is the first step to a reliable, happy and obedient family member.

Next step obedience:
Welcome to the next level! In this class you will learn to polish your skills with more distractions and challenges. Designed to get you ready for real world situations in daily life, this class takes dog training and canine behavior to the next level! This class is fun and entertaining. You and your dog won’t believe you're even learning. Want the best trained dog in your neighborhood? If so, this class is for you!

Pro level obedience:
The holy grail of dog training… “off leash obedience!” Imagine having a dog that walks next to you through city traffic, woodland areas, in buildings while distractions tempt from every direction! Street steady obedience:
We are taking it to the streets! Street steady is the ultimate in control, partnership, and obedience. Real world, real time and real fun! This top level obedience class meets at different locations in the Southern Maine and Southern New Hampshire area. We train indoors and outdoors. In different weather conditions on different surfaces and under different real live distractions each week! Is your obedience street steady? Come find out!
